Jibhi cottage with jacuzzi: what to check before you book
What to check before you book a Jibhi stay with a jacuzzi or hot tub, so the photo matches the stay.
Searching for a Jibhi cottage with jacuzzi or a Jibhi stay with jacuzzi? Most of what is listed as a "jacuzzi" in Jibhi is a private hot tub; ours is at the glass house in Jibhi. Short answer: a Jibhi stay with a jacuzzi is worth it on cold evenings, but listings use "jacuzzi", "hot tub" and "bathtub" loosely. Before you pay, check five things: is it private, is the hot water reliable, is the room heated, can you drive to the door, and what does the tub actually look at.
1. Private or shared?
Some properties have one tub for every guest, or a tub on a common deck. Ask directly: "Is the hot tub only for our room?" At our romantic glass house in Jibhi, the hot tub is private to the Glass House and looks out at the mountains. It is the only tub on the property; our Mudhouse cottages do not have one.

2. Hot water and power
A tub is only as good as the hot water behind it. Ask whether hot water runs all day and what happens during a power cut, which is common in hill villages. At the Glass House we have 24x7 hot water and power backup.
3. Heating for the rest of the room
Getting out of warm water into a cold room is the part no one photographs. Check for a room heater. The Glass House has one, and so does every Mudhouse. For winter packing ideas, see what to pack for Jibhi.
4. Road access and parking
Many Jibhi stays need a walk downhill with your bags. You can drive right up to our cottages in Chhet, with free parking. Route notes: Delhi to Jibhi: how to reach.

5. The view, pets and group size
- View: ask for an unedited photo taken from the tub, not just a drone shot.
- Pets: pets are welcome at all our cottages, including the Glass House. More: pet-friendly cottages in Tirthan Valley.
- Group size: the Glass House sleeps up to 2. If you are 3 to 6, the two Mudhouses (up to 3 each) sit side by side, without a tub.
- Food: in-house local chefs cook from a menu, so you do not have to drive out after a soak.
