Kasol to Jibhi without a car

Short answer: there is usually no direct bus from Kasol to Jibhi. Without a car, go down the Parvati valley to Bhuntar, head south to Aut and on to Banjar, then take a local bus or taxi up to Jibhi. If you are staying with us in Chhet, we can help you arrange a taxi from Aut.

1. Kasol → Bhuntar: local buses and shared taxis run down the Parvati valley via Jari to Bhuntar. Leave in the morning.
2. Bhuntar → Aut: at Bhuntar, look for a bus heading south towards Mandi, Aut or Banjar. Ask the conductor to drop you at Aut if the bus is going on to Mandi.
3. Aut → Banjar: from Aut, the road turns off towards Banjar and Tirthan valley. Some buses from Bhuntar or Kullu run straight to Banjar, which saves a change.
4. Banjar → Jibhi: local buses run up towards Jibhi, or take a taxi from the Banjar stand for the last hill stretch.

Bus timings change with the season, so confirm them at the bus stand on the day. Start early: hill roads are slower after dark, and it is easier to find a taxi in daylight.

• All by bus: the cheapest way, with two or three changes. Good for light bags and flexible plans.
• Bus to Aut, then a taxi: the option we suggest for most guests. The bus does the long, easy part and a taxi handles the hill road with your bags. We help guests arrange a taxi from Aut.
• Cab all the way from Kasol: the simplest, door to door. Ask a local taxi stand in Kasol for a quote. Fares vary with the season and the car, so compare two or three.

We do not list fares here because they change often. Message us your date and we will help you sort out the Aut leg.

The Kasol to Jibhi route via Bhuntar and Aut does not cross a high pass, but rain or snow can slow the last hill roads around Banjar and Jibhi, and snow is never guaranteed on any date.
