• Aut to the cottage: we help arrange a taxi from Aut (fares vary by dates and advance booking). Never quote a fixed fare online.
• Or drive: the car comes right to the cottage door and parking is free. When Jalori Pass is open, the Ani–Jalori stretch is fine in a hatchback; in winter, prefer Aut and Banjar on NH-305.

• Day 1 — arrive: reach Aut around dawn after the overnight bus, or drive in by afternoon. Check in, rest, and keep the first evening light: Siddu or a warm Himachali plate from our in-house local chefs, then tea on the sit-out.
